Amalgam Filling
Amalgam fillings are also known as silver fillings. Amalgam is obtained by mixing silver, tin and copper alloy with mercury. Amalgam fillings have been used for about 150 years.

However, its disadvantage is that it is not aesthetic and rarely causes allergies.

There is controversy about the mercury content of amalgam fillings. However, as the mercury combines with other metals in the amalgam, its chemical structure changes and becomes harmless.
